A girl called Debby Abbey, Who'd barely lived her life, An irate lover and a blade, The slit of an envious knife. The owl steadies himself on his branch, Those eyes seeing through the artificial exterior of any one being, Eyes which have seen perpetual years of greed, hunger and loss, Eyes which have witnessed the brutal vicissitudes of human nature, Eyes which watch as the world deteriorates, And sees each person's unbecoming. He sits, Hearing the discourse that inevitably ripples through the restless forest, As nature's symphony wails in utter grief and defeat, And yet he sits, Patient and wise even in moments of questionable sanity, Waiting for the inexorable end.

I'm currently a student whom enjoys and is able to appreciate all types of art (including literature). I find art extremely soothing and therapeutic when I'm not feeling too great or am going through a hard time. For me, it is a way of expressing and conveying how I feel to other people, and I enjoy the fact that others can understand and relate to that release which art gives.
